Multiple people can work on the same whiteboard, with one person editing at a time. This keeps your funnel's numbers consistent: no half-applied changes, no overwritten work.
One editor at a time#
The first person (or browser tab) to open a whiteboard with edit rights becomes the editor. Anyone else who opens it sees the current version in read-only mode with a notice that someone else is editing.
Take over editing#
If the board is being edited in another tab, you'll see a Continue editing in this tab button. Clicking it hands editing over safely: any unsaved changes in the other tab are saved first, then that tab becomes read-only and yours becomes the editor. No work is lost.
The same handoff happens automatically when the editing tab closes: the next tab in line is promoted and picks up the latest saved version.
If you see a conflict notice#
If someone else (or you, on another device) saved changes while your board was open, you'll see a notice that the whiteboard changed, with a Reload latest version button. Reload to continue from the newest version.
Everyone else can still participate#
While one person edits, others can:
- View the whiteboard and its scenarios
- Comment if they have commenter access or higher; see Comments
Tips for teams#
- Use comments for feedback instead of editing over each other
- Split big projects into separate whiteboards per funnel so people can edit in parallel
- Use variants to explore alternatives on the same board without conflicting
