Building whiteboards

Page previews and thumbnails

Funnel steps can show what the real page looks like, which turns an abstract diagram into something clients instantly recognize.

Add a page URL#

Click a funnel step (like a landing page) and add its page URL. This documents which real page the step represents.

Generate a page preview#

With a URL in place, Wireslate can capture a screenshot of the live page and show it as the step's thumbnail. Save your whiteboard first, then generate the preview from the step.

Upload your own thumbnail#

Prefer a specific image, or documenting a page that isn't live yet? Upload a thumbnail image on the step instead.

Large thumbnails#

By default previews show compact. Two ways to see more:

  • Expand a single step's preview to full page height from the step itself
  • Turn on Large thumbnails in View settings to expand every preview on the board

Tidy boards#

If the "Add page URL / Upload thumbnail" prompts add clutter, turn off Hints in View settings. Existing previews always still show; only the empty-state prompts are hidden.
